What is your Myers-Briggs Personality Type?

Hi. I am not sure if a similar topic has already been posted, so I apologize if it has. Have any of you taken the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator (MBTI)? If so, what was your type? I am an INTP and feel that this profile describes me well in many respects, although family and friends describe me as more tactful and personable than this profile seems to suggest. Anyway, I have been reading a book on the subject of the MBTI and have found it to be highly interesting. If any of you are interested in discovering your MBTI type, there is an online test available although it is less formal than the actual MBTI. It can be found at www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp
Anyway, I'm just curious to see what results others here have obtained and would be interested to hear any thoughts any of you may have.

For my general psychology course, our professor had us take it, and I got INFJ.
Intraverted, intuitive, feeling, and only slightly judgemental.
Says I'll make a good writer and psychologist which is good, because that's what I'm aiming for.
but yeah, google the test name in the post above; it's a great test.

I ended up with a score of INFP. At first I wasn't quite sure about how reliable the test would be, as the questions seemed a bit vague or perhaps leaning towards a certain answer, however the description fit me quite well. I have yet to take the formal MBTI, but this seems like quite a good find.

I view personality traits such as these as being a continuom. For example, someone isn't either a thinker/feeler or judger/perceiver, rather we tend to be more in favor of one type over the other. I've also been participating in an online class which teaches, among other things, about these personality types and what they mean. Furthermore, the class instructs participants how one might become less extreme in these types, or to even change them, in a situation which might call for it; someone who is extremely intraverted, for example, might find it helpful to switch to being an extravert in a situation wherein this would be more resourceful (a meeting or party). I'm finding that I am able to do this, although it was originally speculated that these personality types are set and cannt be changed. I find this to be a great help for me, being an intravert, to be able to switch to being outgoing etc. One might also find it helpful to change some other traits, for example changing from perceiver to judger to get more done, or to perhaps not be as extreme at times.

If anyone's interested, I invite you to check out http://www.centerpointe.com/life/preview for an introduction to what these classes are all about. As well as much information on personality types, and indeed on ourselves in general, there is a lot more to be gained; a lot more than I can explain here. If anyone does happen to check the course(s) out, I'd be very interested to hear oppinions. Just food for thought.

I've been wanting to take the MBTI for quite some time now, and I'm glad that I stumbled apon this post! Thanks for the idea.

PS: What prompted you to write this post?

Happy Hollidays, and be well.

I came out as an ISFJ, moderate introvert, sensing, feeling, and slightly judging. The discription was pretty accurate, I guess. People tend to think I'm stand-offish unless they get to know me.

ISFP

introrverted, sensing, feeling, percieving

mostly introverted, then percieving, then sensing, and, not too much feeling... that is kind of sad...
